Ahmedabad, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off the ‘Sabarmati Marathon’ from the banks of the Sabarmati, being organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for the second successive year.

Thousands of spectators with families assembled at the riverfront since early morning to cheer over 18,000 runners who participated in this year’s race. They included men, women, children, young and old, blind and disabled.

It was held in different categories, namely 42-km full marathon, 21-km half marathon, 7-km dream run, Enthused by overwhelming response especially from the physically challenged, the Chief Minister said the annual event had added another feather to the city’s pride, reflecting citizens’ the sporting spirit and youthfulness. He wished the citizens manage the event from the next year.

In his welcome address, Ahmedabad Mayor Asit Vora gave details of the event.

Prominent dignitaries included South West Air Force Command Chief Air Staff Officer Air Marshall R.K. Jolly, legislators and municipal officers.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today welcomed the world leaders, captains of industry, innovators, policymakers, researchers, and technology enthusiasts from across the globe to the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The Summit, themed “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya — Welfare for All, Happiness for All”, reflects India’s commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence for human-centric progress and inclusive development.

The Prime Minister highlighted the transformative role of AI across diverse sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, and enterprise. He expressed confidence that the deliberations at the Summit will enrich global discourse on innovation, collaboration, and responsible use of AI, shaping a future that is progressive, innovative, and opportunity-driven.

Prime Minister Modi underscored India’s leadership in the global AI transformation, powered by the strength of its 1.4 billion people, robust digital public infrastructure, vibrant startup ecosystem, and cutting-edge research. He emphasized that India’s strides in AI reflect both ambition and responsibility, positioning the nation at the forefront of technological advancement.

Sharing a thread post on X, Shri Modi wrote:
