PM Modi condoles the demise of Shri Giridhar Malviya

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today condoled the demise of Shri Giridhar Malviya, the great grandson of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Shri Modi hailed the contribution of Shri Giridhar Malviya to the Ganga Cleanliness Campaign and to the world of education.

In a post on X, he wrote:

“भारत रत्न महामना पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय जी के प्रपौत्र गिरिधर मालवीय जी के निधन से अत्यंत दुख हुआ है। उनका जाना शिक्षा जगत के साथ-साथ पूरे देश के लिए एक अपूरणीय क्षति है। गंगा सफाई अभियान में उनके योगदान को हमेशा याद किया जाएगा। न्यायिक सेवा में अपने कार्यों से भी उन्होंने अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाई थी। मुझे कई बार उनसे निजी तौर पर मिलने का सौभाग्य मिला। 2014 और 2019 में वाराणसी के मेरे संसदीय क्षेत्र से वे प्रस्तावक रहे थे, जो मेरे लिए अविस्मरणीय रहेगा। शोक की इस घड़ी में ईश्वर उनके परिजनों को संबल प्रदान करे। ओम शांति!”
