Reacting to the Ayodhya suit verdict delivered by Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court, Chief Minister Narendra Modi said, “the judgment will work as a catalyst to maintain peace and unity in the country."

He said judgment has paved the way for construction of Ram Mandir by legal and constitutional ways and will serve as catalyst in strengthening unity of the country.

"I believe that this judgment should not be taken as victory or defeat of any litigant. This judgment is not a matter of victory for any caste, group or party," he mentioned.

"This judgment has given a respect to belief and self esteem of the people of India, and it should be linked to self esteem of the country," he said and urged all the people of the country to accept the judgment and maintain peace.
