Congress’s philosophy is ‘Loot, Zindagi ke Saath bhi, Zindagi ke Baad bhi: PM Modi

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, PM Modi addressed a powerful rally amid a gigantic crowd greeting him in South Goa. He said that owing to the two phases of voting, the ground-level feedback resonates with only one belief, ‘Fir ek Baar Modi Sarkar.’

Praising Goa, PM Modi said, “Goa symbolizes the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.” “This election represents a contest between the NDA fulfilling aspirations with a saturation-led approach and an I.N.D.I alliance leading an approach with greed for the sake of family & dynasty,” said PM Modi. “Our model resonates with ‘Santushtikaran’ while I.N.D.I alliance’s approach resonates ‘Tushtikaran’, said PM Modi.” He added that our saturation approach reflects, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” He said that Modi guarantees to enable the last-mile reach of developmental benefits to all.

Highlighting the importance of the fisheries sector in India’s progressive economic growth, PM Modi said, “Our government prioritized & devised a separate Ministry of Fisheries to cater to the needs of the fisheries sector.” “We have enabled the reach of credit facilities, Bima Yojana, production & processing facilities for our fishermen.” “We have also facilitated the growth of organic seaweed to enable further income opportunities for our fishermen,” said PM Modi.

Speaking on the increased tourism potential and increased prominence of India’s cultural heritage globally, PM Modi said, "The last decade has witnessed an increase in tourists by more than 2 crores compared to the times of the I.N.D.I alliance-led governments.” He added that during the same period, the foreign exchange owing to international tourism has also doubled in India. He added that e-tourist visas have also propelled the number of international tourists visiting Goa. He said, “G20 meetings & ‘Wed in India’ will go a long way in boosting Goa’s tourism prospects both domestically and internationally.” He said, “The advent of Zuari bridge and Vande Bharat trains has increased connectivity in Goa.”

Citing the popularity of football in Goa, PM Modi said that Goa is also known for its sporting culture. He said, “Modi guarantees that soon the Olympic Games will be held in India.”

Lamenting the intent of the I.N.D.I alliance, PM Modi said “I.N.D.I alliance is responsible for politics of negativity and appeasement disregarding the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and the Indian Constitution.” He said that a Congress Leader confirmed that for them the Indian Constitution holds no value and they aim to divide India. He added, “Congress’ appeasement politics made them oppose the abrogation of Article 370.” He said, “It is the same tendency that is provoking them to enable religion-based reservation at the cost of the reservations meant for the SC-ST-OBCs.”

Elaborating on the progress made by India in recent years, PM Modi said, “Today the entire world intends to invest in India including in the aviation, tourism, and hospitality sectors.” He added, “Amid India’s progress, the Congress aims to impose the ‘Inheritance Tax’ to loot the people of India.” He added that the Congress aims to conduct a caste-based X-ray to understand the wealth held by people. He said, “Congress’s philosophy is ‘Loot, Zindagi ke Saath bhi, Zindagi ke Baad bhi.”

In conclusion, PM Modi said that Congress only aims to spread lies in its ability to win any election. He added, “Congress in its weakness, launched a propaganda of lies on the EVMs threatening India’s democracy.” He said that we must all collectively aim that every vote is for the NDA to ensure that India continues to stride on the path of development.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI, the ICT-enabled, multi-modal platform aimed at fostering Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, by seamlessly integrating efforts of the Central and State Governments, earlier today at Seva Teerth.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed four critical infrastructure projects across the Road, Power, Industrial Corridor and Metro Rail sectors, covering four States and costing around ₹30,000 crore. These projects, important for economic growth, regional connectivity, industrial development and public welfare, were reviewed with focus on timelines, inter-agency coordination, issue resolution and timely completion.

Prime Minister underlined that delays in infrastructure projects not only lead to cost escalation, but also deprive people and industries of timely benefits. He asked the concerned Ministries and State Governments to resolve pending issues in a mission-mode manner and ensure close monitoring at the highest level.

Prime Minister emphasised the use of PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for efficient planning and timely implementation of infrastructure projects. He also underlined the need for regular and timely updation of project details, utilities, infrastructure layers, clearances and other field-level information on the portal. He further emphasised that the platform must reflect the latest ground situation so that bottlenecks can be identified in advance, inter-agency coordination can be improved and decisions can be taken on the basis of reliable, real-time data.

Prime Minister reviewed TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and emphasised the need to leverage latest digital technologies including Artificial Intelligence. He suggested a team of NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers, for awareness, patient follow-up and community mobilisation.

Prime Minister also reviewed grievances related to Cyber Crime and Digital Arrest. He expressed concern over the rising misuse of digital platforms to defraud citizens and stressed that such matters require coordinated, sensitive and time-bound handling by all concerned agencies. He noted that citizens should not be made to run from one department or agency to another. He also emphasized the need for clear ownership, faster response, better coordination among law enforcement agencies, banks and digital platforms, and stronger public awareness campaigns.

Prime Minister observed that in cases involving cyber fraud, timely action is crucial to prevent financial loss and restore public confidence. He asked all stakeholders to work in close coordination to strengthen prevention, reporting, investigation and grievance redressal mechanisms. He also emphasised that States should work towards enabling e-Zero FIR mechanisms for faster registration and response in cyber fraud cases.
