Central Government would do everything possible to protect the dignity of women: PM Modi

Addressing a public meeting in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted the immense contribution of our armed forces in keeping our nation safe. He urged the people to remember the valour of our jawans and send them greetings on Diwali.

PM Modi said that the Centre is dedicated to turn Uttar Pradesh into ‘Uttam Pradesh.’  He said that BJP led NDA Government would leave no stone unturned to develop the state of Uttar Pradesh. He added that the BJP led Government would ensure more job opportunities for the youth of the state.

Shri Narendra Modi alleged that parties like SP and BSP were unable to transform people’s lives in the state. “See the newspapers of 2013-2014. Do you remember the news about corruption that dominated the news cycle? In UP there are those who are more bothered about family issues & there are those who only want power. But, BJP wants growth of UP”, he added.

PM Modi noted the troubles farmers face due to water scarcity in Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region. He remarked, “In spite of several rivers flowing through the region, UP’s Bundelkhand remains dry. The governments here did not think of farmer welfare and it did not complete the irrigation projects. But there is a positive difference in farmers’ lives in area under Madhya Pradesh’s Bundelkhand.”

The Prime Minister said that Central Government would do everything possible to protect the dignity of women. He said, “We are against discrimination on basis of gender.”

“In the 21st century, guided by vote bank politics, some political parties are doing greatest injustice to Muslim women”, Shri Modi added further.

Several party karyakartas were present at the public event.
