PM condoles the passing away of versatile actor Shashi Kapoor 

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of versatile actor Shashi Kapoor.

“Shashi Kapoor's versatility could be seen in his movies as well as in theatre, which he promoted with great passion. His brilliant acting will be remembered for generations to come. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers”, the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister congratulates Seema on winning Bronze in Women’s Discus Throw at Commonwealth Games 2026

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Seema on winning the Bronze medal in the Women’s Discus Throw event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Prime Minister noted that Seema secured the medal with a best throw of 58.65 metres.

Shri Modi said that her achievement has made India proud and inspired the youth of the nation. He wished her the very best for her future endeavours.
