ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁਖੀ, ਜਨਰਲ ਐੱਸ ਐੱਫ ਰੌਡਰਿਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣੇ ‘ਤੇ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਦੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਇੱਕ ਟਵੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ;
"ਜਨਰਲ ਐੱਸ ਐੱਫ ਰੌਡਰਿਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਖੀ ਹਾਂ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਿਣੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਰੇ ਰਣਨੀਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ (RIP)।"
