Winners of the Australian Open Mixed Doubles Title 2015 - tennis players Leander Paes and Martina Hingis, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today.
They presented to the Prime Minister, their autographed racquets, with which they had played the final match of the tournament.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today underscored the enduring relevance of Sanskrit in India’s cultural and spiritual life, noting its daily presence in Doordarshan’s Suprabhatam program.
The Prime Minister observed that each morning, the program features a Sanskrit subhāṣita (wise saying), seamlessly weaving together values and culture.
In a post on X, Shri Modi said:
