Ms Ananya Sritam Nanda, winner of Indian Idol Junior (season 2) – a singing competition event hosted by a prominent entertainment television channel – called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today.
The Prime Minister blessed her and wished her well for her future endeavours.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru.
The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-
"यथा खात्वा खनित्रेण भूतले वारि विन्दति।
तथा गुरुगतां विद्यां शुश्रूषुरधिगच्छति॥"
The Subhashitam conveys, that just as one must dig deep into the earth with hard work and patience to obtain water, in the same way, knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru, with faith, dedication, discipline, and sincerity.
