Prime Minister Congratulates Newly Sworn-in Chief Minister and Ministers of Manipur

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today extended congratulations to Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh Ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Manipur.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his best wishes to Smt. Nemcha Kipgen Ji and Shri Losii Dikho Ji on assuming office as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state. He further congratulated Shri Konthoujam Govindas Singh Ji and Shri Khuraijam Loken Singh Ji on being sworn in as Ministers in the Manipur Government.

Expressing confidence in the new leadership, Shri Narendra Modi stated that they will work diligently towards furthering development and prosperity for the sisters and brothers of Manipur.

In a post on X, Shri Modi said:

“Congratulations to Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh Ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Manipur.

I would like to congratulate Smt. Nemcha Kipgen Ji and Shri Losii Dikho Ji on taking oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state and Shri Konthoujam Govindas Singh Ji as well as Shri Khuraijam Loken Singh Ji on being sworn in as Ministers in the Manipur Government.

I’m confident they will work diligently towards furthering development and prosperity for my sisters and brothers of Manipur.”

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the spirit of selfless service and compassion

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, said that work done with a selfless spirit is the truest form of humanity. He noted that such actions not only bring inner happiness but also contribute to the welfare of society.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“अद्रोहः सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा।
अनुग्रहश्च दानं च शीलमेतत्प्रशस्यते॥”

The Subhashitam conveys that to hold no hatred towards any living being-in thought, word, or deed, to act with compassion towards all, and to give generously-this is regarded as the highest form of conduct.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“निस्वार्थ भाव से किया गया कर्म ही सच्ची मानवता है। इससे आत्मिक खुशी तो मिलती ही है, समाज का भी कल्याण होता है।

अद्रोहः सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा।

अनुग्रहश्च दानं च शीलमेतत्प्रशस्यते॥”
