Addressing the nation on the Coronavirus pandemic, PM Narendra Modi announced that the government would set up a COVID-19 Economic Response Task Force, which will be led by the Finance Minister.

PM Modi said the Task Force will remain in regular touch with all stakeholders, take their feedback and work towards minimizing the impact of Coronavirus on the country’s economy.

In the wake of current scenario, PM Modi said that it is the poor, middle class and neo-middle class, which suffer the most. He said that it might be possible that employees would not be able to reach offices for a few weeks and urged the businesses to allow employees to work from home and not to deduct any amount from their salaries.
