This category honors the reader's choice for the politician who best uses Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+, Tumblr or other mainstream social networking sites.

As most of us know, Mashable Awards hold great international stature and winning an award in it means winning pride for India. As the winners are selected by community votes, we can help bring this pride to India!

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today pays tributes to legendary Shri Raj Kapoor on his 100th birth anniversary. He hailed him as a visionary filmmaker, actor and the eternal showman. Referring Shri Raj Kapoor as not just a filmmaker but a cultural ambassador who took Indian cinema to the global stage, Shri Modi said Generations of filmmakers and actors can learn so much from him.

In a thread post on X, Shri Modi wrote:
