The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited the First Launch Pad and GSLV Vehicle Assembly in Sriharikota, in Andhra Pradesh on June 29, 2014 . The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Venkaiah Naidu, and the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, also accompanied the Prime Minister to the Launch Pad. A brief presentation was given by Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, ISRO to Narendra Modi on India’s space programme, in the presence of senior scientists.
He was briefed about the PSLV C-23 Launch Vehicle Mission by senior scientists. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also visited the GSLV-Mk III Vehicle Assembly Building where he was briefed up by senior scientists.
Prime Minister is supposed to witness the launch of ISRO's PSLV C-23 rocket in Sriharikota that would take- off with five foreign satellites on Monday, June 30, 2014.
