Congress has joined hands with parties that are a danger to Assam's culture and heritage: PM Modi on Congress’s alliance in Assam
Development of every region of Assam is a priority for the BJP government. We are committed to ensure that the culture and heritage of the state remains protected: PM Modi
I assure that the NDA Government's campaign will be intensified to improve the standard of living of Tea Gardens workers, says PM Modi in Assam
NDA has built a strong foundation for Assam...it is time that we build on it. Congress is now looking to use it. They want to loot it like they did before: PM Modi in Chabua
Congress is only worried about the 'kursi.' It is the same Congress which have never worked towards providing land pattas to the indigenous people of the state. PM Modi

Resuming his election campaign in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting in Chabua. Slamming the Congress party, the PM said, “India's oldest party, who ruled over India for 50-55 years, is supporting people who're trying to remove India's image associated with tea. Can we forgive the Congress for this? Don't they deserve to get punished?”

“A toolkit has been circulated that will defame the tea of Assam and our yoga. It has prepared a plan and the makes of this toolkit want to inflict losses on our tea plantations. The Congress party supports these toolkit makers and still has the audacity to ask for votes in Assam. Can we forgive a party such as this,” he asked.

Talking about the opposition’s blunder, he stated, “Congress has gone very far from the people of Assam. A few days ago, they shared a photo from Sri Lanka and said it was Assam. A few days ago, they shared a photo from Taiwan and said it was Assam. It is injustice and insult to our beautiful Assam.”

“Development of every region of Assam is a priority for the BJP government. We are committed to ensure that the culture and heritage of the state remains protected. The BJP government is continuously working to give new opportunities to the youth of Assam and to create a better environment for industries in Assam. Our government is also working hard to further empower the women of Assam and to increase the income of the farmers of Assam,” asserted PM Modi.

Addressing the public meeting, he remarked, “If 'Chaiwallah' won't understand tea workers' pain, who else would. We are working to increase the wages for tea garden workers. We tried to increase the wages but the matter ended up in the court and the opposition is targeting us for it. I assure that the NDA Government's campaign will be intensified to improve the standard of living of Tea Gardens workers.”

Also, PM Modi discussed on developmental works done by his government in last 5 years, he said, “You know very well what was the condition of the bridges on the Brahmaputra here 5 years ago. Leave the new bridges, which were started by the Atal ji government years ago, they were also hung by the Congress governments. We completed these projects quickly.”

“Assam has an integral role to play in the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. It can be an exporter of several organic foods, and not just tea. There are massive opportunities for production of organic fruits, vegetables and salads in this region,” he added.

Continuing his attack on Congress, PM Modi said, “On the one hand, our government is working on the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas - Sabka Vishwas', On the other hand, today the Congress has become the hub of false declarations. People from all over the country are watching and understanding their agenda behind lies.”

Urging the people of Assam to vote for the BJP, the PM remarked that to maintain peace in Assam, there was a constant need of the BJP government, the NDA government would maintain stability.

The session, titled ‘Building Back Stronger - Health’, focused on global recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and on strengthening resilience against future pandemics.

During the session, Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the support extended by the G7 and other guest countries during the recent wave of COVID infections in India.

He highlighted India's ‘whole of society’ approach to fight the pandemic, synergising the efforts of all levels of the government, industry and civil society.

He also explained India’s successful use of open source digital tools for contact tracing and vaccine management, and conveyed India's willingness to share its experience and expertise with other developing countries.

Prime Minister committed India's support for collective endeavours to improve global health governance. He sought the G7's support for the proposal moved at the WTO by India and South Africa, for a TRIPS waiver on COVID related technologies.

Prime Minister Modi said that today's meeting should send out a message of "One Earth One Health" for the whole world. Calling for global unity, leadership, and solidarity to prevent future pandemics, Prime Minister emphasized the special responsibility of democratic and transparent societies in this regard.
