After launching various infra projects in Sambalpur, Odisha PM Modi addressed a dynamic public meeting.

Referring to the invaluable contributions of Advani Ji, PM Modi said, “The government has decided to honour Advani ji with the Bharat Ratna for his invaluable contributions and service to India.” His personality exemplifies the true philosophy of ‘Nation First’, he said. He added that Advani Ji has guided India against the dynastic politics and towards the politics of development.

Speaking on the launch of various projects in Odisha worth more than Rs. 70,000 crores, he said that the government is prioritizing the development of the state of Odisha enabling it’s infra impetus. On the development front, he added that the government has been successful in reducing poverty, ensuring 25 crore people exiting multidimensional poverty over the last 10 years. He said, “Government’s focus is to empower Youth, Nari Shakti, Farmers and the Poor. Modi’s guarantee is the fulfillment of all guarantees.”

“The last 10 years have been dedicated to the development of India and the state of Odisha has been a central focus of the same,” PM Modi added. He said that as Odisha is a coastal state the government has strived to improve the lives and livelihoods of the fishermen in the state by enabling port-led development and creation of resilient modern infrastructure.

Focusing on electricity generation, PM Modi said, “The government has launched the Rooftop Solar power scheme to enable access to electricity to all.” He said that India’s health outcomes have also improved significantly, enabling quality healthcare for all.

“With an essential focus on women empowerment, the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative has led to their financial empowerment,” PM Modi added.

Talking on political corruption, PM Modi said “Previous governments instead of focusing on improved budgets, they only squandered public money indulging in rampant corruption”. He added that the reason behind India’s confidence today is a government that is facilitating the guarantee of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’

Lamenting previous governments, PM Modi stated, “Our government truly prioritizes the well-being of the Janjatiyas and not merely treating them as vote-banks like previous governments.” He added, “Today, Modi’s guarantee has imparted the PM-JANMAN enabling the last-mile saturation of all government schemes empowering PVTGs”.

Highlighting the importance of infrastructure, PM Modi emphasized, “Our government has increased spending to over Rs. 11 lakh crores, where the previous Congress government only spent Rs. 2 lakh crores.” He said that a renewed focus on infra spending has modernized India’s infrastructure. Moreover, he said that this government is ensuring that the fruits of development reach all the people of Odisha, unlike the previous Congress government that only believed in photo-ops.

Honouring Odisha globally, PM Modi said, “To enable international acclaim to the state of Odisha the Konark Chakra was chosen as a symbol during the G20 Summit in New Delhi.”

PM Modi expressed his condolences on the death of ‘Sadhu Meher’ a veteran actor, director and Odisha. PM Modi said “Sadhu Meher Ji was the ambassador of the entire potential of the state of Odisha.” He added that the government had also acknowledged his contributions by conferring the ‘Padmashree award’ in the year 2017.

PM Modi said that Modi’s guarantee is to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of all and to enable the transformation of India into a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
