नर्मदा नदीच्या उगमस्थानी म्हणजेच मध्‍य प्रदेशातील अमरकंटक येथे नर्मदा नदी मंदिरामध्ये आज पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी प्रार्थना केली. यावेळी ‘नमामि नर्मदे-नर्मदा सेवा यात्रे’चा समारोप पंतप्रधानांच्या उपस्थित पार पडला.

 

जलसंवर्धनाचे महत्व पटवून देऊन लोकांमध्ये जागृती निर्माण करण्याचे कार्य करणारे पंतप्रधान म्हणजे ‘विकास अवतार’ असल्याचे मत स्वामी अवधेशानंद यांनी याप्रसंगी बोलताना व्यक्त केलं.

लोकांच्या सहभागामुळे नर्मदा नदी जगातली सर्वात स्वच्छ नदी बनू शकणार आहे, असं मत मध्य प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री शिवराजसिंग चौहान यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केलं. नर्मदेच्या काठावरच्या 18 शहरांमध्ये जलप्रक्रिया करणारे प्रकल्प उभारण्यात आले आहेत. त्यामुळे नर्मदा दूषित होणार नाही. आता ही चळवळ कोणीही थांबवू शकत नाही. इतर नद्याही अशा प्रकारे स्वच्छ करण्याची आवश्यकता असल्याचे चौहान यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.

पंतप्रधान मोदी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली भारत नक्कीच ‘विश्वगुरू’ बनेल, असा विश्वास व्यक्त करून सरकारच्या तिसऱ्या वर्धापनदिनानिमित्त चौहान यांनी पंतप्रधानांचे अभिनंदन केले.

यावेळी पंतप्रधानांच्या हस्ते ‘नर्मदा प्रवाह-द मिशन वर्क प्लॅन’चे प्रकाशन करण्यात आले. गेली अनेक शतके नर्मदेने अनेकांना जीवनदान दिले. मात्र अलिकडच्या काळात अतिशय कृतघ्नपणे नर्मदा प्रदूषित करण्यात आली. यामुळे ‘नर्मदा सेवा यात्रा’ सुरू करण्याची वेळ आली, असं सांगून पंतप्रधान मोदी म्हणाले, आपण जर निसर्ग, नद्या यांचे संवर्धन केले नाही तर अवघ्या मानवजीवनाचे नुकसान होणार आहे. या नुकसानीपासून आपल्याला कोणीही वाचवू शकणार नाही. नर्मदा सेवा यात्रा काढल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधानांनी मध्य प्रदेश सरकारचे आणि जनतेचे आभार मानले.

स्वच्छ भारत अभियानात पहिल्या 100 शहरांमध्ये मध्य प्रदेशातील 22 शहरांचा समावेश आहे. याबद्दल मध्य प्रदेशच्या जनतेचे पंतप्रधानांनी अभिनंदन केले.

‘नर्मदा सेवा यात्रा’ जरी आज संपुष्टात आली असली तरी नदी संवर्धनाचा यज्ञ आज खऱ्या अर्थाने सुरू झाला आहे. त्यामुळे जनतेने नदी संवर्धनाच्या यज्ञात सहभागी व्हावे, असे आवाहनही पंतप्रधान मोदी यांनी यावेळी केले.

Prime Minister speaks with Amir of Qatar

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi spoke with H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed that India stands firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemns any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two leaders emphasized the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his appreciation for the continued support and care extended by the Qatari leadership to the Indian community in Qatar during this challenging time.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“Spoke with my brother, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar. We stand firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemn any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
