Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered the prestigious Singapore lecture. Paying tribute to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the PM said that he was a personal inspiration for him. He complemented the strong ties between both the nations and said, “India and Singapore have been together at many crossroads of time.

” PM talked about global economic issues and touched upon the changes the NDA government is initiating in India.

PM Modi said, “Terrorism does not just take a toll of lives, but can derail economies.” Shri Narendra Modi further added that India would lend her strength to keep the seas safe, secure and free for the benefit of all.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“सुवर्ण-रौप्य-माणिक्य-वसनैरपि पूरिताः।

तथापि प्रार्थयन्त्येव कृषकान् भक्ततृष्णया।।”

The Subhashitam conveys that even when possessing gold, silver, rubies, and fine clothes, people still have to depend on farmers for food.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“सुवर्ण-रौप्य-माणिक्य-वसनैरपि पूरिताः।

तथापि प्रार्थयन्त्येव कृषकान् भक्ततृष्णया।।"
