PM chairs 41st AGM of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today chaired the 41st AGM of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) Society.

The Prime Minister suggested that NMML should attempt to maximize the use of technology to achieve a global presence. He said the work of NMML should also be expanded to various Indian languages, to better reflect the diversity of India.

The Prime Minister said that NMML should attempt to reflect the thoughts of India's great leaders such as Pt. Nehru, on contemporary themes such as good governance. He said the youth of India could take tremendous inspiration from the great leaders who made this nation. In particular, he emphasized the need to imbibe the youth with Pt. Nehru's scientific temper.

The Prime Minister thanked all the assembled members for their suggestions and inputs.

Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Minister of State (Independent Charge) Culture, Shri Mahesh Sharma, were present at the meeting.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi congratulated Mr. Balendra Shah on being sworn in as the Prime Minister of Nepal. “Your appointment reflects the trust reposed in your leadership by the people of Nepal. I look forward to working closely with you to take India-Nepal friendship and cooperation to even greater heights for the mutual benefit of our two peoples”, Shri Modi said.
