International Kite Festival Jan 9-14

International Kite Festival, to be organized at Sabarmati riverfront during January 9 to 14, is all set to get a vibrant look as kite-flyers from 36 countries and 10 states of India are going to participate.

A series of programs will begin with Gujarat Tourism’s Chaiman Shri Kamalesh Patel inaugurating a kite flying competition on January 9, 11:00 morning. A theme pavilion based on the history of kites will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Shri Jaynarayan Vyas on 5:00 evening, same day.

International Kite-festival will be inaugurated on January 11, 8:30 morning. Gujarat Governor Dr.Smt.Kmala will preside over the function while Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also remain present.

Kite festival will also be organized at the white runn in Dhorda on January 12, 10:00 morning to 3:00 evening and at Mandavi beach on January 13. Visitors at Mandavi beach will also have famous DJ Narayan band to add up in their amusement.

Invitees and kite-lovers will fly kites in the heritage pols of Ahmedabad on January 14 during 9:30 morning to 3:00 afternoon. Theme pavilion based on adventure sports, food-court, craft-bazaar and kite workshop – all on the show to entertain kite-lovers.

Prime Minister expresses grief over mishap in Coimbatore

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep anguish over the mishap in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Shri Modi said that he is distressed to hear about the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the mishap.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;
