Hon'ble CM performs Pahandi vidhi, flags off Jaganath Yatra

The 133rd Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath began this morning at 7 AM from Jagannath temple in Jamalpur in the presence of thousands of devotees.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, as per tradition, performed ‘Pahandi Vidhi’ and did the symbolic cleaning of road outside the temple, from where the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balram and their sister Subhadra passes.

Amid the chanting of hymns Hon’ble CM flagged off the 133rd Jagannath Rath Yatra by pulling the ropes of the chariot for ‘nagarchariya’ process.

Thousands of devotees participated in the procession. Apart from decorated raths, the precession includes bejeweled elephants and decorated trucks.

Revenue Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel, Minister of State for Home Shri Amit Shah, Mayor Shri Kanaji Thakor, office bearers and top officials were present on the occasion.

Prime Minister pays heartfelt tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Somnath, Gujarat

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today paid heartfelt tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Somnath, Gujarat.

The Prime Minister noted that Sardar Patel’s vision and resolve played a defining role in the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple. Shri Modi highlighted that it was Sardar Patel’s dream to see Somnath rise again in all its glory, as a symbol of India’s civilisational pride and spiritual continuity. He further stated that the nation will always remain committed to fulfilling Sardar Patel's vision for the country.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister wrote:

"At Somnath, paid heartfelt tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose vision and resolve played a defining role in the Temple’s reconstruction. He dreamt of seeing Somnath rise again in all its glory, as a symbol of India’s civilisational pride and spiritual continuity.

We will always remain committed to fulfilling his vision for our nation."
