H.E. Mr. Hamid Karzai, Former President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today

The Prime Minister conveyed heartfelt greetings to the people of Afghanistan on behalf of 1.3 billion people of India and on his own behalf on 100 years of Independence of Afghanistan today.

The former President thanked India for strong all-round support and expressed happiness at the extra-ordinary goodwill between the people of two countries.

The Prime Minister reiterated the continued support of India for peace, security and stability of an inclusive, united, truly independent and democratic Afghanistan.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasizing on discipline and control over mind to achieve ultimate goal

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam:

“विज्ञानसारथिर्यस्तु मनःप्रग्रहवान्नरः।

सोऽध्वनः पारमाप्नोति तद्विष्णोः परमं पदम्॥"

The Subhashitam emphasizes that the person whose discerning intellect act as a vigilant, scientific charioteer, and whose mind is disciplined and controlled, navigates beyond the complexities of life’s path to reach the ultimate goal.

Shri Modi also remarked that the success of 11 years of Digital India has given India a new identity worldwide. This reveals the resolve of the countrymen to take the nation to new heights by embracing innovation and technology.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

डिजिटल इंडिया के 11 वर्षों की सफलता से भारतवर्ष को दुनियाभर में एक नई पहचान मिली है। इससे इनोवेशन और टेक्नोलॉजी को अपनाकर देश को नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाने की देशवासियों की संकल्पशक्ति का पता चलता है।
