Are marks important to succeed in life? Find out what PM Modi has to say…

During Pariksha Pe Charcha, young Shreyaan Roy of West Bengal asked PM Modi, “Is failure in examination is actually a failure for us in our life?”. Replying to his question, PM Modi said, “Marks alone never determine success or failure. What matters most is what we do in life.”

PM Modi remarked, “Marks that you secure in exams cannot be the only measure of your ability. If you see in India and even around the world, you will find many successful people who did not score good marks, but today they are the best in their field. We have built up so much expectations around marks and examinations that we often forget that they are just stepping stones and not the destination.”

PM Modi stated, “There is one thing that we must avoid, that is destination fever. It is a new kind of evil entering the society. People want to decide their own direction based on the destination someone else reached. If someone else was successful at doing something, then you think you must also do it. If someone else failed at something, then you think you must also not try that.”
