The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has remembered Swami Vivekananda’s historic address in Chicago delivered on 11th September 1893.

The Prime Minister said that Swami Vivekananda’s captivating address offered a glimpse of the civilisational ethos of India.

Shri Modi said that his inspiring words still reverberate across the world.

Prime Minister announces ex-gratia from PMNRF

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives due to a mishap in Nanded, Maharashtra.

The Prime Minister conveyed his thoughts to the bereaved families in this hour of grief and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Shri Modi announced that an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said;

“Saddened by the loss of lives due to a mishap in Nanded, Maharashtra. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
