PM Modi meets CEOs of global firms in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

During their meeting, PM Modi and Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the Group Chairman & CEO of DP World, discussed DP World’s plans to further bolster investment in India, especially pertaining to creating sustainable, green, and energy-efficient ports, and world class sustainable logistics infrastructure.

A meeting was held between PM Modi and Mr. Sanjay Mehrotra, the CEO of Micron Technology. The meeting focused on Micron’s efforts to enhance the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in India.

PM Modi had a productive discussion on enhancing collaboration between government and academic institutions pertaining to cybersecurity. The PM also welcomed Deakin University to collaborate with Indian universities for promoting research and innovation.

During his interaction with Mr. Keith Svendsen, the CEO of A.P. Moller – Maersk, PM Modi welcomed their expansion plans in the GIFT City. Their discussions encompassed the crucial topics of green hydrogen and the development of logistics infrastructure.

Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director & President, Suzuki Motor Corp, during his meeting with PM Modi, discussed Maruti Suzuki’s plans to make India a strong player in the global automotive market by exporting Made in India vehicles, along with deploying global best practices related to vehicle scrapping and vehicle recycling into India.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received a telephone call today from the Amir of the State of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Qatar Amir expressed condolences over the loss of lives of Indian nationals in an accident at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar on June 21 and conveyed wishes for speedy recovery of those injured.

PM thanked him for his words of sympathy towards affected families and conveyed appreciation for providing prompt medical help to the injured.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to ensure the wellbeing and safety of their citizens and reiterated their support and solidarity with each other.

While discussing the situation in West Asia, PM conveyed appreciation for Qatar’s positive contribution in the peace efforts and expressed hope that they would lead to lasting peace and stability in the region.

The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to expand bilateral cooperation in all areas.

They agreed to remain in close touch.
