Ahead of the impending Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a splendid welcome by the people of Surguja as he addressed a public rally in Chhattisgarh. He thanked Ambikapur for showering blessings on him, with voices reiterating, 'Fir ek Baar Modi Sarkar.'

Regarding how BJP governments have prioritized tribal welfare, PM Modi said, "Our government is dedicated to tribal welfare in Chhattisgarh. He added, "We are enabling holistic welfare by enabling more income support to 'Tendu leaf collectors'." He said that through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, we are empowering our 'mothers-sisters.'

Emphasizing the ideals of a 'Viksit Bharat' and an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', PM Modi said, "Congress is against a 'Viksit Bharat' and an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'." He added, "Congress, in its greed for power, has destroyed India through consistent misgovernance and negligence." He said, "Today, owing to our policies of good governance, terrorism and naxalism are at a historic low."

Speaking on how Congress' mentality symbolizes that of the 'Muslim League', PM Modi said, "Congress' anti-Constitutional tendencies aim at providing reservation on a religious basis for vote-bank politics." He said that they always envisaged providing 15% reservation to minorities at the cost of the reservation provided to SC-ST-OBC, and the same has been reiterated by them in their 2009 and 2014 manifestos, disregarding the Indian constitution. He added, "In Karnataka, Congress has provided OBC reservation to minorities depriving the OBC community of their rights."

Elaborating on Congress-led systemic loot, PM Modi said, "Congress simply aims to loot the 'hard-earned money' of the 'common people' to fill their coffers.” He added that they aim to impose unreasonable taxes on everything and anything, depriving people of their resources. He said, "Congress is about to set a dangerous precedent by implementing an 'Inheritance Tax'." He added that the inheritance tax aims to tax everything that belongs to an ordinary person and the middle class. By this, Congress seeks to destroy the ordinary people of India economically, he said.

On the one hand, there is a system of loot being envisaged by the Congress, and on the other hand, there is BJP that has enabled last-mile reach of developmental benefits", said PM Modi. He said that the last decade has seen unprecedented development in Chhattisgarh's mobile towers, hospitals and roads. He said, "We have only aimed to develop Chhattisgarh in keeping with its Janjatiya traditions and environmental conservation."

Concluding his remarks, PM Modi thanked the people of Surguja and said that in the upcoming elections, it is important to vote for the BJP to ensure a 'Viksit Bharat' and an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' while also voting for a government that will enable the empowerment of all sections and provide all citizens with equal rights and opportunities.
