Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a massive crowd at a public meeting in Nalbari, Assam. PM Modi extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Bohag Bihu. Addressing the huge gathering, he said, “Today marks the historic occasion of Ram Navami. After a wait of 500 years, Lord Ram has finally graced his magnificent temple. Today, the nation witnesses the culmination of centuries of devotion and the sacrifices of generations.”

Commencing his public address, PM Modi said, “In 2014, Modi came among you with hope. In 2019, when Modi came, he came with trust. And in 2024, today, when Modi has come to the land of Assam, Modi has come with a guarantee. Modi's guarantee means a guarantee of fulfilling guarantees!”

PM Modi said that on the occasion of Bohag Bihu, the BJP unveiled its Sankalp Patra. Highlighting the party's ethos of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas", he assured that NDA government schemes are non-discriminatory, benefiting everyone. Promising equitable access to facilities, the NDA pledges to build 3 crore new houses for the poor over the next 5 years, ensuring unbiased distribution of benefits, including continued provision of free ration.”

Amidst the chanting of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, PM Modi spoke about the 'Surya Tilak' ritual of Ram Lalla being performed in Ayodhya. He said, "...There is a new atmosphere in the entire country and this birthday of Lord Ram has come after 500 years, when he got the privilege of celebrating his birthday in his own home."

Talking about the farmers’ benefits, PM Modi asserted, “When it comes to farmers, how can anyone forget about ‘Khar-Bhat’ here. That's why our government is particularly concerned about the rice farmers here. We have increased the MSP for kharif crops, benefiting millions of farmers here. Assam's farmers have received more than 5400 crore rupees under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. And now, the BJP has announced to continue this scheme, meaning Assam's farmers will continue to receive the money under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi... and that too... without any discrimination.”

Emphasizing Modi’s guarantees, PM Modi said, “Today, across the entire nation, Modi's guarantee is prevailing. And the Northeast itself is a testimony to Modi's guarantee. The Northeast, which was only given problems by the Congress, has been transformed into a source of opportunities by the BJP. Congress fuelled separatism and Modi made efforts for peace and security. What Congress could not do in 60 years, Modi did in 10 years..."

Also, PM Modi stressed how laws against triple talaq liberated Muslim sisters, benefiting not just them but also their families, including fathers and brothers.

During the event, the PM stated, “Just a few days ago, I inaugurated a massive semiconductor facility in Assam. In the coming days, this unit alone will create more than 15,000 job opportunities for the youth of this region. In the future, Assam will be recognized globally as a major hub in the semiconductor sector. This beginning is both historic and unexpected. These decisions will empower the development of this region.”

“The investment in the Northeast region is an example of our commitment to a developed India and a developed Northeast. Connecting the youth of the Northeast with new opportunities in every sector of future India is my top priority. And these opportunities will continue to grow steadily; this is Modi's guarantee,” he added.

PM Modi highlighted the proximity of Manas National Park and Tiger Reserve and emphasized the BJP government's success in increasing the tiger population and expanding forest areas. He recounted his recent visit to Kaziranga National Park, commending the Assam government's efforts in curbing rhino poaching. He underscored Assam's rich biodiversity as a significant asset.

He said, “The BJP has pledged in its Sankalp Patra to take the country's heritage onto the global map. This will increase the possibility of global tourists visiting Assam. The increasing tourism in Assam will create more job opportunities here.”

“So, development of the Kamakhya corridor is also underway in Assam. Thanks to the efforts of the BJP government, the entire nation celebrated the 400th birth anniversary of Assam's great warrior, Lachit Borphukan. And the brand ambassador of Assam's Gamusa is none other than Modi himself,” he further added.

Lashing out at the Congress party, PM Modi said, “Congress faces difficulties even with the country's heritage. I wear the traditional clothes of Assam, and Congress mocks it. Congress doesn't care about the sentiments of the people of Assam. Our Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, works so hard for the development of Assam that the scope for Congress here has come to an end. Your vote for Congress will not form the government at the center. Your vote for BJP will build a developed India.”

PM Modi called upon everyone to cast their votes overwhelmingly for the BJP on May 7th. He encouraged breaking all previous voting records.
