Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat and offered floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
He planted a tamarind (Imli) sapling and unveiled a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi prepared by Shri Nandlal Bose. At the Hridaykunj, Shri Modi also spun the cotton yarn.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today shared a Sanskrit shloka highlighting the transformative power of yoga. The verses describe the progressive path of yoga—from physical health to ultimate liberation—through the practices of āsana, prāṇāyāma, pratyāhāra, dhāraṇā, and samādhi.
In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:
“आसनेन रुजो हन्ति प्राणायामेन पातकम्।
विकारं मानसं योगी प्रत्याहारेण सर्वदा॥
धारणाभिर्मनोधैर्यं याति चैतन्यमद्भुतम्।
समाधौ मोक्षमाप्नोति त्यक्त्त्वा कर्म शुभाशुभम्॥”
