Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, had a telephone conversation today with Mr. Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia, at the request of the Australian side.
Mr Abbott thanked the PM for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him during his recent visit to India. Prime Minister Modi said that during his visit, Prime Minister Abbott had touched the heart of every Indian. The visit had resulted in concrete outcomes and added new dimensions to the strategic partnership between India and Australia. Both the Prime Ministers agreed to actively follow up the decisions reached in the summit. Prime Minister Abbott conveyed that a warm welcome awaits Prime Minister Modi for his bilateral visit to Australia in November 2014 after the G-20 Summit.
Prime Minister Abbott conveyed sympathy and solidarity in connection with the floods in Jammu & Kashmir. Both Prime Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments.

Shri Modi noted that the Economic Survey highlights strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum and the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in nation-building. "The Survey underscores the importance of inclusive development, with focused attention on farmers, MSMEs, youth employment and social welfare. It also outlines the roadmap for strengthening manufacturing, enhancing productivity and accelerating our march towards becoming a Viksit Bharat", Shri Modi stated.
