Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Shri Modi said that progress of West Bengal shall be the only agenda and the BJP was committed to it.

Shri Narendra Modi took note how crucial forty years of Bengal were lost and the state was ruined by the Congress and the left front. "Congress and Left are contesting against each other in Kerala and are allies in West Bengal. This is insult to the pride of people of Bengal", he added further.

The Prime Minister alleged that both the Congress and the Left were opportunist and bothered only about coming to power and not welfare of the people of the state.

Taking a jibe at the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress, Shri Modi said that in last five years, there had been no 'Paribartan' in the state. PM Modi further added that corruption had deepened it's roots in the state. He noted how TMC leaders were caught seeking bribes on camera and were involved in the Saradha scam.

The PM expressed serious concern over the situation of health, education and industries in the state. He also said that BJP was committed to open up more industries in the state and focus on generating employment for the state's youth.

Shri Narendra Modi highlighted several initiatives of the Centre that were transforming lives of people at the grassroots. Shri Modi shed light on Government's schemes like the Jan Dhan Yojana and Mudra Bank. PM Modi said that he had only three agendas for West Bengal -development, fast-pace development and all-round development.

The Prime Minister urged the people of West Bengal to turn out on large numbers and elect a stable and development oriented BJP Government in the assembly elections.
