PM exhorts Engineers to make our engineering world-class

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has greeted all engineers on the occasion of Engineers’ Day and exhorted them to continue to apply their skills to serve our Nation and make our engineering world-class.

“Greetings to my engineer friends on Engineers` Day. Tributes to Bharat Ratna M Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary. Through innovation, hard work and cutting edge research, our engineers have played an anchoring role in the making of our Nation. I wish our engineers the very best and call upon them to continue to apply their skills to serve our Nation and make our engineering world class,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to the collapse of a bridge in Vadodara district, Gujarat. Shri Modi also wished speedy recovery for those injured in the accident.

The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia from PMNRF of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;

“The loss of lives due to the collapse of a bridge in Vadodara district, Gujarat, is deeply saddening. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.
