Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said in New Delhi today that Gujarat had brought a Paradigm shift in the strategy for Inclusive Growth and during last whole decade we had empowered the poor and weakest men to become partner of progress.

Speaking at the plenary session of PRAWASI BHARTIYA DIWAS Samaroh in New Delhi on Inclusive Growth, Shri Narendra Modi said that Gujarat had registered not only overall double digit GDP growth but also made a dent in achieving 9.6 per cent sustained Agriculture Growth. This is a unique paradigm shift in Rural economy in eradicating the rural poverty, he said. 'We have made all out efforts to remove darkness of poverty, IMR-MMR rates, diseases and unemployment to bring happiness on the face of deprived'.

Addressing the delegates and NRIs at PBD-2011 in Vigyan Bhavan, Gujarat CM said that this is the approach which differentiates Gujarat's Governance from many others.

Giving an example of Gujarat's growth, he said that Gujarat is a place where infrastructure development has kept pace with economic Growth. Gujarat is a place where rural development has kept pace with urban Growth. The satisfaction of workers has kept pace with industrial Growth.

In Gujarat, industry has grown at 13%, agriculture at 12.8% in last five years and at 9.6% over last seven years. The per capita income of the Farmers has also grown at 13.8%. Besides industry, Gujarat's remarkable achievement on agriculture, power, health and education sectors and our new innovative schemes are becoming the role model for other states.

Gujarat CM said that the State Government's efforts for inclusive growth are thus holistic and not piecemeal, well planned and not knee jerk reactions, not for slow changes but for quantum leap; making people the partners in growth not just beneficiaries. Gujarat's efforts in Governance have been applauded the world over, he appraised.

Shri Modi also invited all delegates and NRIs to witness the biennial investment event- Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is being held on 12th and 13th January, 2011 and added that the state is organizing Weather Forecast and Disaster Management Seminar on international level during
