Chief Minister inaugurates GACL Unit in Dahej

Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi yesterday laid the foundation for stable bleaching powder, caustic soda expansion project and inaugurated Gujarat Alkailes and Chemicals Limited's (GACL) hydrogen peroxide expansion phase three along with wind farm phase two for power generation of 39 MW at Dahej. A sizable investment of Rs. 650 crore has been done for all four projects.

GACL is becoming largest producer of hydrogen peroxide in the country with a production capacity of 39,000 tonnes per annum (TPA).

State chief secretary and GACL chairman D Rajgopalan said, "GACL has ambitious expansion plans in days to come under the joint venture company promoted by GNFC, GACL and GSFC to produce phenol, acetone and polycarbonates. In the next three years, GACL is going to invest Rs 2,600 crore in 100 MW power plant and a two lakh TPA caustic soda expansion project.

PM condoles the loss of lives in the ghastly incident

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the ghastly terrorist attack carried out today at Bondi Beach, Australia, targeting people celebrating the first day of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

Conveying profound grief over the tragic incident, Shri Modi extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people of India to the families who lost their loved ones. He affirmed that India stands in full solidarity with the people of Australia in this hour of deep sorrow.

Reiterating India’s unwavering position on the issue, the Prime Minister stated that India has zero tolerance towards terrorism and firmly supports the global fight against all forms and manifestations of terrorism.

In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:
