Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today asked the taluka officers to change the old mentality that is influenced by the British administrative methods and take on the new way of collective deliberations. Chief Minister was addressing to around 600 taluka officers, through video conferencing from Gandhinagar, in a regional seminar held today at Vadodara on the theme of Apno Taluko Vibrant Taluko (ATVT).

Chief Minister said that 225 talukas of Gujarat should emerge as the pillars for future growth of the state. Prior to 2001, Chief Minister said, Gujarat was a resource-scarce state and was facing financial troubles. But the situation is completely changed as now it is experiencing political stability, continuity of policies and people's support.

Chief Minster exuded faith that taluka officers will become successful in making a vision for their talukas and leading them to become self-evolving units.
