मंच पर उपस्थित डाल्मिया भारत ग्रुप के एमडी भाई डाल्मिया, Youth for Development के mentor मृत्युंजय सिंह जी, अध्यक्ष भाई प्रफुल निगम जी, Rural Achiever श्री चैत राम पवार जी, यहां मौजूद अन्य सभी महानुभाव और मेरे प्यारे युवा साथियों। यहां मुझे देश भर के कुछ एचिवर्स को, जो इस विशेष इनेसेटिव को सपोर्ट कर रहे हैं। उनको सम्मानित करने का अवसर मिला है। एक लाइब्ररी की शुरुआत की गई। और रूरल इंडिया को लेकर एक व्हाइट पेपर भी जारी किया गया है। मुझे खुशी है कि आप सभी देश की आवश्यकताओं को देखते हुए, उस आवश्यकताओं को प्राथमिकता देते हुए अपने कार्य की रचना कर रहे हैं। आप सभी ने अब तक जो हासिल किया है। उसके लिये मैं आपको बहुत बहुत बधाई देता हूं। और ये प्रयास सफलता के साथ निरंतर आगे बढ़े इसके लिये सरकार का सहयोग भी रहेगा और मेरी शुभकामनाएं भी रहेंगी।

साथियों इस समय हमारा देश परिवर्तन के एक महत्वपूर्ण कालखंड से गुजर रहा है। पिछले चार साल में भी आपने भी महसूस किया है की कैसे देश 21वीं सदी में नई ऊंचाइयों को छूने के लिये आगे बढ़ रहा है। चार साल में देश की साख बढ़ी है, गौरव बढ़ा है और सवा सौ करोड़ हिन्दुस्तानियों ने विश्व पटल पर दस्‍तक दी है की अब इंडिया इज़ टेकऑफ।

Friends, Gone are the days, when India was considered to be among the ‘Fragile Five’. Today, we are the fastest growing economy in the world. Powered by the Hundred and Twenty Five Crore people of India, we will grow even faster. As per an international report, poverty is declining in India at a record pace. 5 crore people have moved out of poverty in the last two years according to the report. Who do you think is making this possible? It is the people of India. The Government can only play the role of an enabler. It is the youth, who are not only making use of available opportunities but also creating new ones themselves. This is not the India of “चलता है” attitude. अब चला गया। This is our new India.

साथियों न्यू इंडिया का सरोकार सवा सौ करोड़ भारतवासी हैं, लेकिन उसका आधार यंग इंडिया है। युवाओं की युवा शक्ति है, जो पुरानी व्यवस्थाओं को उसकी कार्यप्रणाली को, पुराने तौर तरीकों को पुरानी सोच से उस बोझ से मुक्त है। ये वो नौजवान वर्ग है, जिसने व्यवस्थाओं को बदलने के लिये प्रेरित किया है। युवाओं का यही समूह आज उभरते भारत की पहचान बन रहा है। कुछ लोग परिवर्तन के लिये मौसम बदलने का इंतज़ार करते हैं। कुछ लोग परिवर्तन का संकल्प करके मौसम बदल दिया करते हैं। आप इंतज़ार करने वाले नहीं, मौसम बदलने वाले नौजवान हैं। क्योंकि आपके पास बदलाव लाने वाला मन है मिशन है, कुछ कर गुजरने के लिये मौसम नहीं मन चाहिए, इच्छा शक्ति चाहिए। आज देश में इसी अद्मय इच्छा शक्ति के साथ युवा राष्ट्र निर्माण के कार्य में जुटे हुए हैं।

Friends, Today’s India is doing nothing small. Just like the aspirations and power of the youth, India is doing big, transformative things. More than 3 crores children have been vaccinated thus boosting the health of India’s future. This is a big number. Who’s at the lead of this? Young doctors, nurses, support staff and volunteers. India built 1.75 lakh kilometres of rural roads in the last 4 years. Who built them? Young labourers and workers. India made electricity reach every single village in the last 4 years. Eighteen thousand villages were electrified and this target was completed on time. Now, we are electrifying every home. Eighty Five lakh homes have been electrified since October 2017. Who brightened the homes of their fellow citizens? Young Electricians and Technicians. Who made 4 crore and 65 lakhs gas connections reach the poor? Yet again, India’s youth. And, they did this not for themselves but out of care and concern towards poor women, many of whom live in rural areas. More than one crore homes have been built for the poor in the last 4 years. Who did it? It was young engineers, masons and labourers who made this possible. These numbers are mostly only in crores! They are big numbers. Why are these big numbers possible? Because of another big number the 800 million people of India under the age of 35.

जिस देश में इतनी अपार युवा शक्ति हो, और उससे किसी को भी ईर्ष्या हो सकती है। और इसलिये मैं मानता हूं कि आपने इस कार्यक्रम की बहुत सटीक टैगलाईन चुनी है। और आपने कहा है अब हमारी बारी है। और हमारी मतलब एक नागरिक की भी है और हिन्दुस्तान की भी। साथियों एक जमाना था, जब शासन सिर्फ राज परिवारों का रहता था। सदियों पहले ऐसा था। स्वतंत्रता के बाद, आजादी के बाद बाबा साहेब अम्बेडकर ने संविधान दिया उसके बाद, लोकतंत्र के बाद नये तरह के राज परिवार पैदा हुए। स्वतंत्रता के बाद राजनीति में भी तीन तीन पीढ़ियों तक राज चल रहा था। शासन कुछ परिवारों के ही नियंत्रण में रहा। लेकिन आज स्थितियां बदल चुकी हैं और ये आपने बदला है देशवासियों ने बदला है। आप देखिये राष्ट्रपति जी, उप राष्ट्रपति जी और मैं खुद, छोटे से स्थान से आते हैं। ना हमारे पुरखों में कोई कुछ था। आप ही के जैसे परिवार से आए हैं। लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से चुन कर के आए हैं। और ये बताता है कि किस तरीके से देश का जनमन बदला है। और ये बात सिर्फ तीनों पदों पर ही लागू नहीं होती। आप अलग – अलग राज्य मुख्यमंत्रियों को भी देखिए। योगी आदित्यनाथ जी, त्रिपुरा के विप्‍लवदेव, उत्तराखंड के त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत, मध्य प्रदेश के शिवराज सिंह चौहान, बिहार के हमारे नितीश जी, हरियाणा के मनहोर लाल जी, झारखंड के रघुवर दास जी, ये सारे लोग बहुत ही सामान्य परिवारों से निकलकर के इन पदों में जनता जनार्दन ने उनको पहुंचाया है। उन्होंने बहुत ही सामान्य जीवन जिया है और इसलिए आज भी ये हर गरीब के प्रति, उसकी समस्याओं के प्रति ज्यादा संवेदनशील रहती है। इन्होंने अपना जीवन नौजवानों के बीच काम करते हुए, उनकी आशा, अपेक्षाओं के अनुरूप काम करते हुए खपाया है। वो पक करके आए हैं वो समझते हैं कि न्यु इंडिया का नौजवान क्या चाहता है।

मेरे नौजवान साथियों क्या ये बदलाव नहीं है और ये हमारे देश के लोकतंत्र के लिये मैं समझता हूं बहुत बड़ी सकारात्मक पूंजी है एक बहुत बड़ा सकारात्मक संकेत है कि अब इस तरह का वातावरण राजनीति नहीं बल्कि हर क्षेत्र में दिखाई दे रहा है। ग्रामीण इलाकों और छोटे शहरों के आईएएस, आईपीएस बनने वाले नौजवान प्रशासन की सेवा में आने वाले नौजवानों की संख्या निरंतर बढ़ रही है। छोटे शहरों के लोगों के बड़े सपने भी, अब पूरे होने हैं। ये बदलाव ही तो है, जो न्यू इंडिया की पहचान बन रहा है। आज आप खेलकूद का क्षेत्र देख लीजिए, 10th और 12th के टॉपर देख लीजिये, अब बड़े शहर बड़े स्कूल के नहीं होते। छोटे गांव के छोटे शहर, छोटे स्कूल के सरकारी स्कूल के बच्चे दसवीं बारहवीं के टॉपर होते हैं। स्पोर्टस देख लीजिये बड़े बड़े शहर, बड़े बड़े गांवों से नहीं छोटे छोटे गांव से निकले। ये बदलाव है।

Friends, A few days ago, an 18-year-old from the rice fields of Assam captured the attention of the entire world. I am talking about Hima Das. In her run, you can see the grit and power just shine through. In fact, there are such youngsters bringing home medals and records. They represent New India. They overcame steep odds, showed great determination and achieved great heights. We are a top sporting power in badminton, doing well in shooting, weight-lifting and many more sports. Those bringing home the medals are from smaller towns. They belong to simple middle class or neo-middle class families. Young India feels “Anything is possible! Everything is achievable.” This spirit will drive India’s growth.

आज अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भारत का जो कद बढ़ा है, प्रतिष्ठा फिर से स्थापित हुई है। उसने युवाओं में एक नया आत्मविश्वास पैदा हुआ है। अवसरों की समानता है। पारदर्शिता, प्रतिभा की पहचान, और सम्मान का ही ये नतीजा ये परिणाम है। नई अपरोच के साथ स्किल इंडिया, स्टार्टअप इंडिया, स्टैंडअप इंडिया, खेलो इंडिया, डिजीटल इंडिया ऐसे अनेक प्रयासों से न्यु इंडिया की बुनियाद बहुत मजबूती की फाउंडेशन के साथ तैयार हो रही है। अब Silos को खत्म करके सोल्युशन पर बल दिया जा रहा है। देश की क्या आवश्यकताएं हैं उन्हें समझते हुए, उनके हिसाब से योजनाएं बनाई जा रही हैं। नौजवानों की, उद्यमियों की, महिलाओं की, किसानों की, मध्यम वर्ग की, छोटी छोटी परेशानियों को दूर करने के लिये उनके जीवन को आसान बनाने का काम किया जा रहा है।

Friends, India needs great road infrastructure भारतमाला is building thousands of kilometres of roads for it. India needs port-led development सागरमाला is helping build infrastructure for it. India needs to go digital in public service delivery JAM trinity got us there. India needs a clean economy increased digital payments and innovations like BHIM App are taking us there. India needs a unified / and simplified tax structure GST is for that. India needs to unlock the power of air travel UDAN is to get even the poor to fly. India needs more skilled manpower Skill India is for that. India needs villages connected with i-ways we have laid 2.7 lakh km of optical fiber network connecting more than a lakh gram panchayats. India needs more entrepreneurs Mudra and Standup India are for that. India needs affordable healthcare आयुष्मान भारत is for that. India needs its startup generation to prosper today you can register a startup very quickly. There is a level playing field in public procurement for startups too! We are future-proofing India in every way, enabling New India to take off.

साथियों Ideas और Innovations हमेशा भारत के सामान्य जीवन का हिस्सा रही है, लेकिन युवाओं की इन शक्ति का राष्ट्र निर्माण में अधिक से अधिक उपयोग हो, इसके लिये उपयुक्त वातावरण अब तैयार किया जा रहा है। देश के नौजवानों की आकांक्षाएं और असीम क्षमताओं को ही सरकार इनोवेशन और रीसर्च को बढ़ावा दे रही है। स्कूल में ही इनोवेशन का माहौल बने इसके लिये, अटल इनोवेशन मिशन शुरू किया गया है, देश के स्कूलों में कॉलेजों में इनोवेशन का इको सिस्टम बनाने पर जोर लगाया जा रहा है। छात्रों में साइंटिफिक टैंपर बढ़ाने और उनकी क्रियेटिविटी को सही प्लेटफॉर्म देने के लिये देश भर में 2400 से ज्यादा अटल डिजिटली लैब को स्वीकृति दी। यहां छात्रों को भविष्य की जो टैक्नॉलॉजी से परिचित कराया जा रहा है। Innovative आईडिया को आगे लाने के लिये Smart India Hackathon जैसे कार्यक्रम चलाये जा रहे हैं। इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से देश के नौजवानों को देश की समस्याओं को सुलझाने के कार्य से सीधा जोड़ा गया है। इसी रास्ते पर चलते हुए युवा स्टार्ट अप की दुनिया में कदम रखेगा।

हमने देखा है कि काले धन और भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ सरकार की कार्रवाई और जीएसटी की मांग किस तरह रिकॉर्ड संख्या में लोग टेस्ट देने के लिये आगे आ रहे हैं। ये बदले हुए वातावरण का प्रमाण है। मुझे याद है जब डीजिटल पैमेंट की बात शुरू हुई थी, तो किस तरह बड़े बड़े दिग्गजों ने कहा था कि भारत जैसा गरीब देश डीजिटल पैमेंट में आगे नहीं बढ़ सकता। लेकिन आज डीजिटल पेमेंट की प्रगति देखिये ये युवा ही तो है जिनकी वजह से आज देश के हर गांव में डीजिटल पेमेंट की व्यवस्था पहुंच गई है। लोक डीजिटल पेमेंट करने लगे हैं।

Friends, when development is our only aim, we remain sensitive to people’s concerns and aspirations. When we are receptive to people, it reflects in policies becoming simpler. When we remove red-tape and make policies easier, we bring more FDI. When we bring more FDI, we create more industries in India. When we create more industries, we create more employment opportunities. When we create more employment opportunities, we empower the youth to improve his future. When the future of every citizen improves, the future of India and stature of India in the world improves!

साथियों हमारे पास आज एक उत्तम अवसर है हम उस पीढ़ी के हैं, जिनको देश की आजादी के लिये मरने मिटने का सौभाग्य नहीं मिला था लेकिन राष्ट्र निर्माण के लिये जीने का और देश के लिये कुछ करने का मौका हमें जरूर मिला है। इतिहास साक्षी है, कि स्वतंत्रता के आंदोलन में भी, नौजवानों ने भी आगे बढ़कर कमान संभाली है। युवा जोश और हौसले ने आजादी की लड़ाई में निर्णायक भूमिका निभाई थी। आज न्यु इंडिया के लिये वही भूमिका आप सब भी निभाने वाले हैं। आपको मिलकर एक ऐसे न्यु इंडिया का निर्माण करना है कि जिसका सपना हमारे स्वतंत्र सैनानियों ने देखा था। देश के लिये खुद को खपा देने वालों ने देखा था।

Friends, New India is that land, Where you make your name, your name does not make you. Where your ideas matter, not your influence. Where opportunities beckon instead of obstacles. Where a billion aspirations, find free flowing expression. Where the journey to progress is powered by one and all, instead of a select few. It is the place, where processes drive progress, instead of people influencing processes. Where the Government belongs to everyone, instead of everything belonging to the Government.

Where the power of hope prevails over mindless hate.

Where 125 crore Indians write their own destiny instead of being left to their own fate. This is our New India!

साथियों, आप भारत का वर्तमान और भविष्य हैं। भारत को आपकी साझेदारी चाहिए, सिर्फ सुनने वाले नहीं, हमें सुझाव देने वाले, हमारे साथ कंधे से कन्धा मिलकर काम करने वाले, युवा चाहिए।

आप सफल होंगे तो देश सफल होगा। आपके संकल्प सिद्ध होंगे तो देश के संकल्प सिद्ध होंगे। एक बार फिर इस शानदार Initiative के लिए, Youth for Development की पूरी टीम को बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं देता हूं और जिन लोगों ने आज सम्मान प्राप्त किया है मैं उनका विशेष रूप से अभिनन्दन करता हूं। क्योंकि उनके हर काम उनके हर प्रयास की चर्चा होगी। उनका कार्य अपने आप में औरों के लिये प्रेरणा बन जाएगा। और मैं मानता हूं शब्द से ज्यादा कृति की ताकत होती है। और आप वो लोग हैं आप वो कर्मयोगी हैं जिन्होंने दूरसुदूर किसी बस्ती में, किसी गांव में अपने सपनों को साकार करने के लिये अपने आपको खपा दिया है, एक काम हाथ में लिया उसको पूरा करके दिखाया है। और उसी का नतीजा है कि आज आप संतोष की अनुभूति कर रहे हैं। और स्वांतः सुखाए, जिस काम को स्वांतः सुखाए करते हैं। उसकी प्रेरणा अध्यात्मिक ताकत से भी अनेक गुना ज्यादा होती है। मैं इस स्थिति को प्राप्त करने वाले उन सभी नौजवानों को हृदय पूर्वक बहुत बहुत बधाई देता हूं।

प्रधानमंत्री 15–20 मई तक यूएई, नीदरलैंड, स्वीडन, नॉर्वे और इटली के दौरे पर रहेंगे

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates on May 15, 2026, where he will meet the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders will have the opportunity to exchange views on bilateral issues, in particular energy cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. They will also discuss ways to advance the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership underpinned by strong political, cultural, economic and people-to-people links. The visit will serve to promote the significant trade and investment linkages between the two countries. The UAE is India’s third largest trade partner and its seventh largest source of investment cumulatively over the past 25 years. With the UAE hosting over 4.5 million - strong Indian community, the visit will also be an opportunity to discuss their welfare.

For the second leg of his visit, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, H.E. Mr. Rob Jetten, Prime Minister Modi will pay an official visit to the Netherlands from May 15-17, 2026. This will be Prime Minister’s second visit to the Netherlands after his previous visit in 2017. During the visit, Prime Minister will call on Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, and hold talks with Prime Minister Rob Jetten. Prime Minister’s visit will build on the momentum of high-level engagements and close cooperation spanning diverse sectors, including defence, security, innovation, green hydrogen, semiconductors and a Strategic Partnership on Water. Prime Minister’s visit early in the tenure of the new Government will provide an opportunity to further deepen and expand the multifaceted partnership. Netherlands is one of India's largest trade destinations in Europe, with bilateral trade worth USD 27.8 billion (2024-25); and India's 4th largest investor with cumulative FDI of USD 55.6 billion.

For the third leg of the visit, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, H.E. Mr. Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister will travel on 17-18 May 2026 to Gothenburg, Sweden. Prime Minister had earlier visited Sweden in 2018 for the first-ever India-Nordic Summit. PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with PM Kristersson to review the entire gamut of bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation to enhance bilateral trade, which has reached USD 7.75 billion (2025), and Swedish FDI into India which has reached USD 2.825 billion (2000 – 2025), as well as collaboration in green transition, AI, emerging technologies, startups, resilient supply chains, defence, space, climate action and people-to-people ties. The two Prime Ministers will also address the European Round Table for Industry, a leading pan-European business leaders forum, along with H.E. Ms. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

In the fourth leg of his visit, Prime Minister will pay an official visit to Norway from 18 - 19 May 2026 for the 3rd India-Nordic Summit and bilateral engagements. This will be the first visit of Prime Minister Modi to Norway, and will mark the first Prime Ministerial visit from India to Norway in 43 years. Prime Minister will call on with Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja, and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre. Prime Minister will also address the India-Norway Business and Research Summit along with the Norwegian Prime Minister. The visit will provide an opportunity to review the progress made in India-Norway relations and explore avenues to further strengthen them, with a focus on trade and investment, capitalizing on the India – EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement, as well as on clean & green tech and blue economy. The visit will also be an opportunity to induce momentum in bilateral trade worth around USD 2.73 billion (2024), and investments by Norway’s Government Pension Fund (GPFG) of close to USD 28 billion in the Indian capital market.

The 3rd India-Nordic Summit will take place in Oslo on 19 May 2026. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be joined by the Prime Minister of Norway, H.E. Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre; Prime Minister of Denmark, H.E. Ms. Mette Frederiksen; Prime Minister of Finland, H.E. Mr. Petteri Orpo; Prime Minister of Iceland, Ms. Kristrún Frostadóttir; and Prime Minister of Sweden, Mr. Ulf Kristersson for the Summit. The Summit will build upon the two previous Summits held in Stockholm in April 2018 and in Copenhagen in May 2022, and will impart a more strategic dimension to India’s relationship with the Nordic countries, especially in technology and innovation; green transition and renewable energy; sustainability; blue economy; defence; space and the Arctic. The visit will also provide an impetus to India’s bilateral trade (USD 19 billion in 2024) and investment ties with Nordic countries as well as help build resilient supply chains following the India-EU FTA and India-EFTA TEPA.

In the final leg of his visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, H.E. Ms. Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister will undertake an official visit to Italy from 19–20 May 2026. Prime Minister had last visited Italy in June 2024 for the G7 Summit. During the visit, he will call on the President of the Italian Republic, H.E. Mr. Sergio Mattarella and hold talks with Prime Minister Meloni. The visit takes place in the backdrop of a strong momentum in bilateral ties with both sides proactively implementing the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029, a comprehensive road map for cooperation in various sectors including in bilateral trade which reached USD 16.77 in 2025; boosting investment, which has recorded a cumulative FDI of USD 3.66 billion (April 2000-September 2025); defence and security; clean energy; innovation; science and technology; and people - to - people ties.

Prime Minister’s upcoming visit will further deepen India’s partnership with Europe across sectors, particularly trade and investment ties in light of the recently concluded India-EU FTA.
