Jandhan, Aadhar and Mobile: The holy trinity of benefits distribution in India
Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has undergone a transformative journey in leveraging technology to empower its citizens and streamline governance. At the heart of this revolution lies the JAM Trinity—Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile—a robust framework that has redefined how welfare benefits are delivered through Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT). By 2024, the JAM Trinity has enabled the transfer of over Rs. 43 lakh crore in benefits to millions of beneficiaries, curbing leakages worth Rs. 3.5 lakh crore.
