Science Fraternity gets Vibrant

Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi organised a unique convention of scientists-engineers of ISRO, scientists of P.R.L and S.A.C .More than 3000 families shared the joy and glory with the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister had invited the space scientists and their families to observe the Vibrant Gujarat Mega Exhibition at Science City today. In a most spectacular feat, the scientists have played a pivotal role in the successful launching of the Chandrayan. Addressing the emotionally charges audience, Chief Minister said, “In the 21st century, people rely heavily on science. They try to find scientific solutions to their problems. Breaking the conventional mindsets, we must undertake innovative research based on our own vision. Gujarat has blazed a new trail by incorporating scientific interventions for providing better public amenities. He asked the scientists to explore Sindhu and Sarasvati Civilizations, to discover the Dwarika of Lord Krishna, as science holds the potential to change the history.

Differentiating the politics and nationalism, Chief Minister asserted that nationalism should inspire the public life instead of politics. When the financial institutions are badly affected by the meltdown, the companies are filing bankruptcy; Gujarat has given much needed confidence to the nation. Had Prime Minister Dr Manmohansingh acted by seeking inspirations from the nationalism based politics, taking the appropriate stance to address the Summit, it would have inspired the global occasion in true sense. The Union Government has missed the chance. The successful launching of Chandrayan is the Central subject, Chief Minister added, Inspired by nationalism base ideologies, I shared the success and glory with the scientists. He appealed the scientists to pursue development and welfare centered research activities.

Director ISRO Dr J L Goswami acknowledged it with gratitude, Shri Narendrabhai Modi was the first leader to visit ISRO and laud the spirit of the scientists and engineers associated with the Chandrayan Mission. We are committed to fulfil the dream cherished Dr Vikrambhai Sarabhai, to make India a Space-Science Super Power.

Director -DECCU DR K.M. Dasgupta, Associate Director Dr Ramratan, Ministers, Chief Secretary, Top Officials, leading scientists were among the others who attended the ceremony.
