પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ગુયાનાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ સાથે સત્તાવાર વાતચીત કરી

પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ 20 નવેમ્બરના રોજ જ્યોર્જટાઉનમાં સ્ટેટ હાઉસ ખાતે મહામહિમ ડૉ. મોહમ્મદ ઈરફાન અલી સાથે મુલાકાત કરી હતી. સ્ટેટ હાઉસ પહોંચ્યા બાદ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ અલીએ તેમનું સ્વાગત કર્યું અને તેમણે ઔપચારિક ગાર્ડ ઓફ ઓનર આપવામાં આવ્યું હતું.

બંને નેતાઓ વચ્ચે એક સીમિત બેઠક થઈ, ત્યારબાદ પ્રતિનિધિમંડળ સ્તરની વાતચીત થઈ હતી. ભારત અને ગુયાના વચ્ચેના ગાઢ ઐતિહાસિક સંબંધોને રેખાંકિત કરતાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે તેમની મુલાકાત દ્વિપક્ષીય સંબંધોને મજબૂત વેગ આપશે. બંને નેતાઓએ ભારત અને ગુયાના વચ્ચેના બહુપક્ષીય સંબંધોના અનેક પાસાઓ પર વિસ્તૃત ચર્ચા કરી હતી જેમાં, સંરક્ષણ, વેપાર અને રોકાણ, આરોગ્ય અને ફાર્મા, પરંપરાગત દવા, ખાદ્ય સુરક્ષા, ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર ડેવલપમેન્ટ, ડિજિટલ પબ્લિક ઈન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચર, ક્ષમતા નિર્માણ, સંસ્કૃતિ અને લોકો વચ્ચેના સંબંધો સહિતના મુદ્દાઓ સામેલ છે. ઉર્જા ક્ષેત્રે ચાલી રહેલા સહકારની સમીક્ષા કરતાં બંને નેતાઓએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે હાઇડ્રોકાર્બન તેમજ રિન્યુએબલ એનર્જી સ્પેસમાં ભાગીદારી વધારવાની અપાર સંભાવનાઓ છે. વિકાસ સહકાર એ ભારત-ગુયાના ભાગીદારીનો એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ આધારસ્તંભ છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ગુયાનાને તેની વિકાસની આકાંક્ષાઓ પૂરી કરવા માટે ભારત સતત સમર્થન આપશે તે વાતથી અવગત કરાયા હતા.

બંને નેતાઓએ પરસ્પર હિતના પ્રાદેશિક અને વૈશ્વિક મુદ્દાઓ પર પણ વિચારોનું આદાન-પ્રદાન કર્યું હતું. બંને નેતાઓએ ક્લાઈમેટ ચેન્જનો સામનો કરવા માટે વધુ સહયોગની હાકલ કરી હતી. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ભારત દ્વારા આયોજિત વૉઇસ ઑફ ધ ગ્લોબલ સાઉથ સમિટમાં ભાગ લેવા બદલ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ અલીનો આભાર માન્યો હતો. બંને નેતાઓ ગ્લોબલ સાઉથ દેશો વચ્ચેની એકતા મજબૂત કરવા સાથે મળીને કામ કરવા પર સંમત થયા હતા.

બંને નેતાઓ દ્વિપક્ષીય સહયોગને વધુ મજબૂત કરવા નિયમિત અંતરે ઉચ્ચ સ્તરીય બેઠકો યોજવા સંમત થયા હતા. મુલાકાત દરમિયાન દસ MOU પર હસ્તાક્ષર કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

Prime Minister shares a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that well-ordered standards must guide human conduct

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, noting that righteous conduct is like a lamp that illuminates not only an individual but the entire society. Shri Modi highlighted that adopting this very ideal, the people of our country are engaged in nation-building today with complete restraint, capability, and devotion to duty.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"श्रेष्ठ आचरण वह दीपक है, जिससे व्यक्ति के साथ-साथ समाज भी आलोकित होता है। इसी आदर्श को अपनाते हुए हमारे देशवासी आज पूरे संयम, सामर्थ्य और कर्तव्यनिष्ठा से राष्ट्र निर्माण में जुटे हुए हैं।

तस्माच्छास्त्रं प्रमाणं ते कार्याकार्यव्यवस्थितौ।
ज्ञात्वा शास्त्रविधानोक्तं कर्म कर्तुमिहार्हसि।।"

The determination of what ought to be done and what ought not to be done should not rest upon subjective opinion or momentary impulse but upon a well-ordered standard grounded in the Śāstra, which imparts direction and discipline to conduct. Therefore, a person ought to act in accordance with that established system of standards, so that one's conduct becomes balanced, validated and meaningful.
