First they (Congress) mocked our ‘surgical strikes’ and now are themselves claiming that they conducted six such strikes during their terms: PM Modi
Our strong national security policy ensured that we bought Masood Azhar to his rightful designation by the international community: PM Modi
Congress governments have always been quite ineffective in addressing the concerns of the people and making their lives easier: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed three massive rallies in Hindaun, Sikar and Bikaner in Rajasthan today. The rallies saw PM Modi tear apart the Congress’ changing claims of ‘surgical strikes’ in their tenure and said, “First they (Congress) mocked our ‘surgical strikes’ and now are themselves claiming that they conducted six such strikes during their terms. First they mocked, then they protested and now they say Me Too, Me Too.”

Addressing the huge crowd of enthusiastic   supporters, PM Modi said, “Two days ago, one of India’s greatest enemies, Mazood Azhar, was designated a global terrorist by the United Nations. This Pakistan-based terrorist had become a huge nuisance threatening our nation’s security for a very long time. However, the Congress governments did not take this issue seriously. Our strong national security policy ensured that we bought this terrorist to his rightful designation by the international community. After Uri and Balakot, this is our third surgical strike against terror.”

Lashing out at the state Congress government in Rajasthan for failing to fulfill the promises made to the people, Prime Minister Modi said, “Congress governments have always been quite ineffective in addressing the concerns of the people and making their lives easier. The people of Rajasthan particularly remember how the Congress even failed to stop India’s share of water that was flowing into Pakistan, which could have been used to reduce water scarcity in Rajasthan. The ineffective and corrupt governance of Congress governments brought our country to a phase where India was known globally as a nation of ‘snake-charmers.’ In contrast, under the NDA government’s good governance, India is now knows internationally as the nation of ‘mouse charmers’ owing to India’s vast and growing IT sector. These elections have clearly demonstrated that the people of Rajasthan are overwhelmingly in favour of bringing the BJP’s good governance back and I am certain that we will continue to make rapid strides in India’s development in the years to come.”

Cabinet approves a highway construction project in Assam worth ₹8,970.20 crore
August 06, 2026

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today has approved the development of 135.871 km, 4-lane access-controlled Guwahati-Tezpur Corridor of NH-15 in Assam. The project will be developed on Built-Operate -Transfer (BOT) Toll Mode at a total capital cost of Rs.8970.20 crore under NH(O).

The project envisages construction of an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) (4.9 Km.) in Tezpur Bypass which have been finalized in coordination with IAF and would decongest existing NH-27 (East west Corridor) on the south side of Brahmaputra river. The project includes construction of 05 major bypasses of length 58.7 Km., thereby easing congestion on stretches passing through densely populated areas such as Baihata Chariali, Sipajhar, Kharupetia, Dekiajuli, Tezpur.

In addition, the project has provision for 15 Major Bridge, 30 Minor Bridge, 19 flyovers, 01 Elephant Under Pass (in Tezpur bypass). 46 Underpasses and 19 Flyovers with 210 Km. of service road will also be constructed as part of the project to maintain cross movement of the traffic as the project is proposed to be developed as access controlled.

The project will increase average travel speeds by 100%, reduce travel time to half, improve overall road safety, enhance fuel efficiency, and lower vehicle operating costs, thereby enhancing regional mobility and socio-economic development.

The project will provide seamless connectivity to key economic, social, and logistics nodes across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, the upgraded corridor will enhance connectivity to 08 PM Gati-Shakti Economic Nodes (08 Industrial Parks), 02 Social Nodes (02 Aspirational districts of Darrang and Udalguri), 03 Tourist Nodes (Maa Kamakhaya Temple, Kaziranga National Park, Orang National Park) and 07 Logistic Nodes (03 Major Railway Stations, 02 Airports,02 Waterway Terminal), thereby facilitating faster movement of goods and passengers across the region.
