Gujarat’s mantra of development is ‘Inclusive Growth through Collective Efforts’, says Narendra Modi
Ahmedabad, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today reiterated his confidence that his ‘Sadbhavna Mission’ would lend new colour to politics in the India. It establishes the values of six-crore Gujaratis.
Rounding up his day-long Sadbhavna fast at Mehsana as part of his state-wide ‘Sadbhavna Mission’ to hold such fasts at 33 places, he said the mission is to serve the society.
Mr. Modi said that he is aware that Gujarat’s development model is now being discussed even abroad, but the people’s unprecedented response at different places during Sadbhavna fasts confirms its message is reaching nooks and corners of the state, too.
Many people may not have yet an idea of the extent of development taking place in all fields in the state. Gujarat tops the nation in implementation of 20-Point Programme for the last ten years. It is because Gujarat cares about the poor. Incidentally, the top five states in the implementation of the 20-Point Programme are non-UPA Governments.
He said that he is too overwhelmed by the people’s love and affection. It gives him strength to work more with greater vigour. Nearly 11,000 people voluntarily joining his fast is no small incidence. It could not be exactly defined in political parlance.
Mr. Modi said that Sadbhavna mission is simple and yet has tremendous strength. He said that Gujarat’s mantra of development is ‘Inclusive Growth through Collective Efforts’, taking people along, rising above the decades-old politics of divide and rule, rising above politics of casteism and communalism. One could see some development taking place within 25 km.
Talking about Mehsana, he said that 150-km corridor is set to undergo face change with the ambitious Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor passing through the district.
The Chief Minister on the occasion announced new development projects worth Rs.2,555-crore for the district.
Prominent among those who spoke at the function included Revenue Minister Anandiben Patel, Water Resources Minister Nitinbhai Patel, BJP Vice-President Purshottam Patel, BJP State President R. C. Faldu, Labour Minister Liladhar Vaghela, Natubhai Thakor, MP, Chankarbhai Thakor, MLA, and Dudhsagar Dairy Chairman Vipulbhai Choudhary
