Enrollment of Girl child campaign Kanya Kelavni began yesterday in the presence of Shri Narendra Modi. He said that the Government is determined to help create right thinking citizens for a better tomorrow.

He visited villages in south Gujarat's Navsari district's rural areas like Kilyari, Velanpur, Gadvi fadyia, Jaman Padia area. Narendra Modi gifted girls with toys and gave them with school enrollment forms. The atmosphere in these rural areas was highly charged and the villagers welcomed Narendra Modi with lots of enthusiasm.

He declared that Gujarat would climb the ladder of success by making Jyoti-Gram and Broadband connectivity available in all villages.

To promote primary education in villages and aiming for 100 % literacy for the girl child he stated that “Gujarat is committed to achieving 100 per cent literacy and 100 per cent enrollment of the girl child. With the help of the people of the state, the government will achieve this goal". He further said that education was the only solution to social and economic ills.

Prime Minister expresses grief over mishap in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep sorrow over the mishap in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab.

The Prime Minister said he was pained to hear about the incident. He extended his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
