Gandhinagar, December 7, 2013: Maharashtra’s popular public figure and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackrey today paid a courtesy visit to the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence here.
The meeting between the two leaders was lasted over 75 minutes, during which they discussed on several subjects, an official release said.
Members of the Bhikku Sangh, Mumbai met the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today and expressed joy on the Cabinet’s decision to confer the status of Classical Language on Pali and Marathi.
In a post on X, he wrote:

They recalled the strong connection of Pali with Buddhism and expressed confidence that more youngsters will learn about Pali in the coming times.”
