PM appreciates the visit of Shri Omar Abdullah to the iconic Statue of Unity at Kevadia, Gujarat

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today welcomed and appreciated the visit of Shri Omar Abdullah to the Sabarmati Riverfront and the iconic Statue of Unity at Kevadia, Gujarat.

Responding to a post on X by Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, the PM said:

“Kashmir to Kevadia!

Good to see Shri Omar Abdullah Ji enjoying his run at the Sabarmati Riverfront and visiting the Statue of Unity. His visit to SoU gives an important message of unity and will inspire our fellow Indians to travel to different parts of India.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the valour and duty of the Indian Armed Forces

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, said that the courage and valour of the Indian Armed Forces in protecting the honour and dignity of the nation make every citizen proud. He noted that their spirit of sacrificing everything for Mother India is a source of inspiration for all.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit verse-

“स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि |
धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयोऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते ||”

The verse conveys that When one becomes aware of one’s duty, there should be no hesitation or fear of any kind in the mind, because the struggle undertaken to protect religion and honour on the altar of justice is the most excellent and most glorious path to self-welfare for a warrior.
