PM Modi had a good meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar. The leaders discussed stepping up bilateral cooperation and matters if regional and global importance.

 

Talks with President of Niger:

A friend from the heart of Africa.

PM Modi met with President of Niger, Issoufou Mahamadou on the margins of UNGA. Solar energy, agriculture and counter terrorism measures came up for discussion during the meeting.

Talks with the UNICEF Chief:

Ms. Henrietta Fore, UNICEF Chief called on PM Narendra Modi on the margins of UNGA. The Prime Minister underlined the efforts made by the Government towards health and nutrition of children in India.

Discussions with Italian PM Guiseppe Conte

Underscoring common synergies PM Modi met Italian PM Giuseppe Conte on the margins of the UNGA and discussed strengthening of bilateral ties, especially in trade & investment. Cooperation in the defence sector too came up for discussion.

Meeting with the Maldives President:

PM Narendra Modi met Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and exchanged views on how to give further impetus to India-Maldives relations.

Productive meeting with President Geingob of Namibia:

PM Modi held a productive being with President Hage Geingob of Namibia. The leaders discussed about expanding bilateral cooperation in various spheres.

PM Modi reaffirms India’s support for efforts towards a just and durable peace in the region.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received a telephone call from the Prime Minister of Israel, H.E. Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu today.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the continued momentum in India-Israel Strategic Partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening these ties for mutual benefit.

The two leaders strongly condemned terrorism and reiterated their zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

They also exchanged views on the situation in West Asia. PM Modi reaffirmed India’s support for efforts towards a just and durable peace in the region, including early implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan.

The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
