প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী আজ বারাণসী’তে‘দীনদয়াল হস্তকলা সঙ্কুল’ নামে একটি হস্তশিল্পের বাণিজ্যিক বিপণন কেন্দ্র জাতিরউদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করেছেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী ২০১৪ সালের নভেম্বর মাসে এই কেন্দ্রেরভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করেছিলেন। আজ তিনি ঐ কেন্দ্রটি ঘুরে দেখেন এবং কেন্দ্রটিউৎসর্গ করার জন্য মঞ্চে আসার আগে এই কেন্দ্রে বিভিন্ন ধরনের সু্যোগ-সুবিধার বিষয়েতাঁকে অবহিত করা হয়। 

শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী আজ এক ভিডিও লিঙ্কের মাধ্যমেমহামানা এক্সপ্রেসের যাত্রা সূচনা করেন। এই ট্রেনটি বারাণসীর সঙ্গে সুরাট এবংগুজরাটের ভদোদরার মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করবে।

এছাড়াও, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শহরে বিভিন্ন ধরনেরউন্নয়মূলক প্রকল্পের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করেন এবং বেশ কয়েকটি প্রকল্প জাতিরউদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করেন। তিনি উৎকর্ষ ব্যাঙ্কের ব্যাঙ্কিং পরিষেবারও উদ্বোধন করেন। এইব্যাঙ্কের সদর দপ্তরের ভবনেরও তিনি ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করে একটি ফলক উন্মোচনকরেন। 

প্রধানমন্ত্রী ভিডিও লিঙ্কের মাধ্যমে একটি জলঅ্যাম্বুলেন্স পরিষেবা এবং একটি জল শববাহন পরিষেবা বারাণসীর জনগণের জন্য উৎসর্গ করেন।তিনি তন্তুবায় ও তাঁদের সন্তানদের জন্য ‘টুল-কিটস্‌’ ও সৌরবাতি প্রদান করেন। 

এই উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন,একটি মঞ্চের একটি অনুষ্ঠান থেকেই ১ হাজার কোটি টাকার সমতুল বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের হয়ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করা হয়েছে অথবা জাতির উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করা হয়েছে।

তিনি ‘দীনদয়াল হস্তকলা সঙ্কুল’-এর মতো হস্তশিল্পেরবাণিজ্য পরিষেবা কেন্দ্রকে দীর্ঘ সময়ের মধ্যে বারাণসীর জন্য অন্যতম বৃহৎ প্রকল্পহিসাবে বর্ণনা করেন। তিনি বলেন, এই কেন্দ্রটি হস্তশিল্পী ও তন্তুবায়দের হাতের কাজও কর্মদক্ষতা বিশ্বের কাছে তুলে ধরার ব্যবস্থা করবে এবং তাঁদের জন্য এক উজ্জ্বলভবিষ্যতের সূচনা করবে। তিনি এই শহরে আগত পর্যটকদের এই কেন্দ্রে আসার জন্য উৎসাহদিতে সাধারণ মানুষের কাছে আহ্বান জানান। এর ফলে, হস্তশিল্পের চাহিদা আরও বৃদ্ধিপাবে ও বারাণসীর পর্যটনের সম্ভাবনা উন্নত করবে এবং শহরের অর্থনীতির উন্নয়নেও সহায়কহবে।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, উন্নয়নের মধ্যেই সব সমস্যারসমাধান লুকিয়ে আছে। তিনি বলেন, সরকার দরিদ্র মানুষের জীবনে সদর্থক পরিবর্তন আনারদিকে দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করেছে। এই প্রসঙ্গে তিনি উৎকর্ষ ব্যাঙ্কের কর্মোদ্যোগের বিশেষপ্রশংসা করেন।

জল অ্যাম্বুলেন্স এবং জল শববাহন পরিষেবার সূচনাপ্রসঙ্গে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, জলপথের মাধ্যমেও উন্নয়নের উদ্যোগ এই কাজের মধ্য দিয়েপ্রতিফলিত হয়েছে।

মহামানা এক্সপ্রেস প্রসঙ্গে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন,২০১৪ সালে সংসদীয় নির্বাচনে তিনি যে দুটি কেন্দ্র থেকে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করেছিলেন,সেই ভদোদরা ও বারাণসীর মধ্যে রেলের মাধ্যমে যোগাযোগ স্থাপিত হ’ল।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, দেশ বর্তমানে দ্রুত গতিতেএগিয়ে চলেছে এবং জাতির স্বার্থে বেশ কিছু দৃঢ় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা হচ্ছে। তিনি বলেন,ভারতের পূর্বাঞ্চল ও পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের উন্নয়নের মধ্যে সামঞ্জস্য বিধান হওয়া দরকার। আজযেসব প্রকল্পের সূচনা হয়েছে তার মধ্য দিয়ে এই লক্ষ্য পূরণে এগিয়ে যাওয়া সম্ভব হবে।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi plants a sapling at Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in Delhi

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has participated in a tree plantation drive and planted a sapling at the Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in Delhi strengthening the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative.

Shri Modi also highlighted the importance of reforest the Aravalli range under the Aravalli Green Wall project.

The Prime Minister noted that the Aravalli range, one of the oldest on the planet, spans Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi.

He highlighted that the region faces multiple environmental challenges which the Government is committed to addressing.

Shri Modi said that in the Aravalli range and beyond, in addition to the traditional planting methods, we will encourage new techniques especially in urban and semi-urban areas where there are space constraints. Plantation activities will be geo-tagged and monitored on the Meri LiFE portal, Shri Modi further added.

The Prime Minister also urged the youth of the country to actively participate in the movement and contribute to enhancing the green cover of the planet.

In a X thread, the Prime Minister said;

"Today, on #WorldEnvironmentDay, we strengthened the #EkPedMaaKeNaam initiative with a special tree plantation drive. I planted a sapling at the Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in Delhi. This is also a part of our effort to reforest the Aravalli range - the Aravalli Green Wall project."

"It is widely known that the Aravalli range is one of the oldest on our planet, covering Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi. The past several years have brought to the fore several environmental challenges relating to this range, which our Government is committed to mitigating. Our focus is to rejuvenate areas linked with this range. We are going to work with the respective local administrations and going to emphasise things such as improving water systems, curbing dust storms, stopping eastward expansion of the Thar desert and more."

"In the Aravalli range and beyond, in addition to the traditional planting methods, we will encourage new techniques especially in urban and semi-urban areas where there are space constraints. Plantation activities will be geo-tagged and monitored on the Meri LiFE portal. I call upon the youth of our nation to take part in this movement and add to our planet’s green cover."
