PM meets Israeli PM in New York

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, met the Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu on Sunday. 

The two leaders reviewed the robust relationship, and rapidly growing trade. They also discussed how ties could be further expanded. The Israeli side briefed the Prime Minister on their perception of the situation in West Asia. 

Defence ties and cooperation in the field of computer software, and cyber security were also discussed.

Issues of water management and agriculture in arid areas came up for discussion, with Israel offering to share its technology in this regard. The Prime Minister also outlined his vision of waste water management and solid waste management in 500 towns across India.

The Israeli Prime Minister extended an invitation to Shri Narendra Modi to visit Israel.

Prime Minister expresses delight as Sarnath is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today expressed that it is a proud moment for every Indian, sharing his delight that Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

He noted that Sarnath has a close association with Lord Buddha, whose timeless message of wisdom, compassion and harmony inspires the world.

Shri Modi highlighted that this recognition celebrates India’s profound civilisational and spiritual heritage. The Prime Minister observed that it will also inspire more people across the world to come to Sarnath and connect with the ideals of Lord Buddha.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister shared:
