কৃষকদের জীবনে মর্যাদা এবং সমৃদ্ধি নিশ্চিত করতে পিএম-কিষাণ যোজনার সূচনা হয়েছিল। আজ এই যোজনার দ্বিতীয় বর্ষপূর্তি।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী একগুচ্ছ ট্যুইট বার্তায় বলেছেন, ‘দু-বছর আগে আজকের এই দিনে আমাদের কঠোর পরিশ্রমী কৃষকদের জীবনে মর্যাদা এবং সমৃদ্ধি নিশ্চিত করার জন্য পিএম-কিষাণ প্রকল্পের সূচনা হয়েছিল।দেশবাসীর খাদ্যের সংস্থান এই কৃষকদের দিন-রাত পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে নিশ্চিত হয়। আমাদের কৃষকদের দৃঢ় মানসিকতা ও উৎসাহ অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক।
বিগত ৭ বছর ধরে কেন্দ্র কৃষি ক্ষেত্রের সংস্কারের জন্য বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে। উন্নত সেচ ব্যবস্থা, প্রযুক্তির আরও ব্যবহার, বেশী করে ঋণের ব্যবস্থা, বাজারের সুবিধা, যথাযথ শস্য বীমা, মাটির স্বাস্থ্যের বিষয়ে নজরদারি, মধ্যসত্ত্ব ব্যবস্থার দূরীকরণ-এইসব উদ্যোগগুলির ফল এখন পাওয়া যাচ্ছে।
ন্যূনতম সহায়ক মূল্যের ঐতিহাসিক বৃদ্ধির সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে আমাদের সরকার। কৃষকদের আয় দ্বিগুণ করার জন্য সম্ভাব্য সবকিছু আমরা করছি।
