Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has greeted the people of Odisha on the festival of Nuakhai.

"Nuakhai Juhar! Greetings to the people of Odisha as they celebrate the festival of Nuakhai. May this festival further happiness in society," the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of grasping the essence of knowledge

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today shared a profound Sanskrit Subhashitam that underscores the timeless wisdom of focusing on the essence amid vast knowledge and limited time.

The sanskrit verse-
अनन्तशास्त्रं बहुलाश्च विद्याः अल्पश्च कालो बहुविघ्नता च।
यत्सारभूतं तदुपासनीयं हंसो यथा क्षीरमिवाम्बुमध्यात्॥

conveys that while there are innumerable scriptures and diverse branches of knowledge for attaining wisdom, human life is constrained by limited time and numerous obstacles. Therefore, one should emulate the swan, which is believed to separate milk from water, by discerning and grasping only the essence- the ultimate truth.

Shri Modi posted on X;

“अनन्तशास्त्रं बहुलाश्च विद्याः अल्पश्च कालो बहुविघ्नता च।

यत्सारभूतं तदुपासनीयं हंसो यथा क्षीरमिवाम्बुमध्यात्॥”
