Shri Modi condoles the unfortunate demise of noted Gujarati singer, composer and music maker Shri Rasbihari Desai

 Shri Modi Tweeted, “We will miss the eminent singer, composer Shri Rasbihari Desai who made invaluable contribution to Gujarati music. May his soul rest in peace” 

Shri Rasbihari Desai’s Bhajan ‘Madi Taru Kanku Kharyu Ne’ very popular among people of Gujarat 

Shri Narendra Modi expressed grief over the unfortunate demise of noted Gujarati singer, composer and music maker Shri Rasbihari Desai.

The Chief Minister wrote on Twitter, “We will miss the eminent singer, composer Shri Rasbihari Desai who made invaluable contribution to Gujarati music. May his soul rest in peace.”

Shri Desai was a physics professor who left an invaluable contribution to Gujarati music through his music academy in Ahmedabad where he trained many students. Shri Desai established ‘Shruti Vrund’ in 1961 to spread Gujarat Sugam music to common people. ‘Shruti Vrund’ successfully organized number of programmes of Gujarati Sugam Sangit in the span of over four decades.

At a public event organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation he was given a public honour from the city of Ahmedabad.

His Bhajan, “Madi Taru Kanku Kharyu Ne” is extremely popular across Gujarat.

Prime Minister pays homage to Adi Shankaracharya

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, paid tributes to one of India’s greatest spiritual luminaries, Adi Shankaracharya, on his Jayanti today. Shri Modi remarked that his profound teachings, thoughts and philosophy of Advaita Vedanta continue to guide innumerable people globally. And his efforts to revitalise spiritual thought and establish spiritual centres across the nation remain a lasting inspiration."May his wisdom continue to illuminate our path and strengthen our commitment to truth, compassion and collective well-being", Shri Modi added.

The Prime Minister posted on X:
