As many as nine fellows of the second batch of the Chief Minister’s fellowship project paid courtesy visit to the Chief Minister Narendra Modi today. The fellows thanked Mr.Modi for giving them rare opportunity to get direct experience of good-governance and to act as a bridge between the government and the society. 

The Chief Minister said that he is determined to institutionalize the Chief Minister’s Fellowship project. Extending well-wishes to the fellows for their bright future he said the state government too has benefited from their fresh thoughts.

The Chief Minister appealed the fellows to visit about 50 universities of the country and share their experience over there before pursuing their professional life. 

He expressed his desire to organize ‘best essay competition’ based on the subjects covering various aspects of the Gujarat’s development for the youths of all the states and 400 districts of the country.

Principal Secretary to administrative reforms and training division Arvind Agrawal was also present during the meet.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving security situation in West Asia.

Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and reaffirmed India’s strong condemnation of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister reiterated the call for de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy for earliest restoration of peace and stability.

Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Amir for his personal attention to the continued well-being and the safety of the large Indian community in Kuwait.
