Probationers of Indian Foreign Service call on PM

25 Officer Trainees of the 2013 batch of Indian Foreign Service, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today.



Interacting with the probationers, the Prime Minister exhorted them to learn as much as possible about India, so that they can highlight the strengths of our country, in the right context, in the place of their postings. He urged them to become especially well-versed in matters related to the economy and energy security, while also developing a good knowledge of history and culture.

The Prime Minister said officers should make every effort to ensure that diaspora had a pleasant experience in their interactions with Indian Missions abroad. He said the diaspora represent a great strength for India, across the world.



The National Security Advisor Shri Ajit Doval, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Shri Nripendra Misra, the Additional Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Shri P.K. Mishra, and the Foreign Secretary Shri S. Jaishankar were present at the interaction.
